The Habs fought honourably, but the Bay were the better team. Good on them for the repeat. |

It was the culmination of a season with SALARY related challenges, compliance question marks, fake injury concerns, cap circumvention and much, much more. |

16 Million over the salary cap and 30+ Million on the ice can have that affect.....

And this is a Stanley Cup final that will forever have an asterisk next to it. A team that didn't actually have enough ponts to make the playoffs and a team that was $18 million over the cap. Both teams needed to cheat to make it to the finals. (frank) both organizations.
Let's also acknowledge how much of a failure the Montreal Canadiens franchise has become. Seeing the rejoycing on twitter celebrating the moral victory of making it all the way to the finals. What a failure this team has become. They are an embarrassment to the sport. |

True, but I still tip my hat to them all the same. From the Habs point of view they can look at the strides their players made and hopefully address some skill shortages up front.

Lol dont be a hater. Enjoy it for the hockey. The thing I hated most about this playoffs was the Habs head coach.

It has nothing to do with hate. Both teams had to cheat to get to the finals. Saying otherwise is being intellectually dishonest. |

Well i wouldnt say either team cheated as the league is the one that sets the rules. Tampa employed clever gamesmanship with cap circumvention, much as I hate to be on the receiving end they technically didnt break any rules. Though admittedly while the Habs didnt "Cheat" I can agree that in any regular season they don't sniff the playoffs at all. Im trying to take the glass half full approach after watching them get booted out lol.

NO ONE will give a damn or even remember. This Tampa team will go down as a dynasty with back to back SCs. I love how they were the ultimate playoff chokers only two years ago. Shows how useless narratives are. |

Easy to win when you cheat and the league allows you to do so. This finals is a perfect example of what teams can do when the league has their backs.
I'd rather lose, like the Flames always do, than have to cheat to win. Make no mistake, this is is not a legitimate Stanley Cup win. |

Make no mistake, everyone in the Flames organization would rather be a two time champion with the Lightning than part of a perpetually irrelevant organization. |
